Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
This restaurant housed in an imposing 1950’s edifice a dozen or so kilometres outside Sarreguemines is just the ticket for a slap-up meal with all the trimmings. Wholehearted and single-minded, Julien Dimofski’s enthusiasm can be tasted in delectable, carefully crafted dishes overflowing in ambition (snails in potato nests, langoustine gently seared in butter or free-range roasted squab in a simple parsley sauce). The infectiously cosy, voluntarily rustic interior is further enhanced by the warm welcome and service proffered by Véronique, Julien’s mum.
