MICHELIN Guide's Point Of View

‘Faon’ is the French word for fawn. The chef opened this restaurant in his hometown, choosing the name because of how everyone finds fawns irresistible. The cuisine is French, but with ume vinegar, salted rice malt and white miso added to the mix. Terrace seating is available, so you can enjoy your meal while admiring the five-storey pagoda of Kofukuji Temple, a National Treasure.
