Janine and Jeroen De Zeeuw are a power couple who know exactly what they want – and their vision has been further honed by moving into this listed building. A pleasingly intimate and smart atmosphere prevails here, with art from their personal collection adding a touch of individuality. They will be happy to tell you about the sustainable concept behind their restaurant, which extends to the tableware and the close proximity of their chosen suppliers. With respect for the terroir, Chef Jeroen delivers exciting dishes rife with fresh and earthy flavours. His white asparagus, for example, is prepared with coconut and given a subtle twist in the form of a jus of clear tomato stock, vin jaune and elderflower. Meanwhile Janine wins diners over with wines she has discovered, as well as amazing mocktails and kombuchas.
