You can make a night of it by booking one of the sumptuously stylish bedrooms at this traditional-looking 18th-century thatched inn – a bonus when you consider the depth of the extraordinary wine list, which offers plenty of options by the glass. Original, well-balanced and technically accomplished dishes oscillate between Danish traditions and more international influences, with satisfying options including the likes of duck with seven spice and chestnuts or a chocolate bar with balsamic and white truffle ice cream. Lunchtime sees a lighter menu.
